On Thursday our nanny was sick and so I found myself working from home. John was going to be gone from 8am until 10pm, and I was pretty nervous about spending so many hours alone with Beatrice. She can be exhausting and I’m not used to spending so much one-on-one time with her.

A Letter for Bebe
Today Beatrice received a present in the mail. She was pretty unimpressed with the brown packaging… or maybe she was hungry and unimpressed with the mamarazzi…
Inside, she found a letter from aunt uncle Kara and a Mickey straight from Disney World.

Baby Dolls & Cousin Playdates
There she is, my darling little doll. Do you like her outfit? Just like the rest of her wardrobe, it is a product of Goodwill - hooray for thrifted vintage gems! And speaking of dolls, after I put this little frock on Beatrice, I discovered that it is probably a doll dress. Secretly, this made me like it even more. I can’t wait to pair it with some chubby legs and bloomers this summer!

Beatrice decided to bring the most dramatic side of her personality to today’s 9-month checkup. When we laid her on her back to get measured, she totally fell apart. We sat her on the scale and she waved her arms frantically while screaming, turning red, and trying to get into my arms. And then She Slept
After weeks of multiple nighttime wake-ups and lots of Bebe tears, she has finally slept through the night without crying. Apparently we are SO good at sleep training that it only took 1 night to fix her habits.
Or maybe the whole thing was just a phase and she got over it just as we lost our minds.
Either way, there is now sleep in our lives, and that is a very good thing.
